Loudoun Therapeutic Riding "Open Barn" Event - On Saturdays from 11 AM - 4 PM, LTR will be host this event at Morven Park in Leesburg. They need volunteers who like horses and/or enjoy working outside.
Bridle Paths Volunteer - Bridle Paths seeks volunteers to join our team of dedicated staff, volunteers, and horses! The Bridle Paths program offers strength, support, and healing to individuals and families through safe, effective, and high-quality equine-assisted activities and therapies. We provide therapeutic horseback riding instruction and equine-assisted psychotherapy services to individuals and families faced with physical, cognitive, psychological, and emotional needs. Volunteers are needed to act as horse leaders and side walkers and assist with grooming and tacking horses for lessons. Each volunteer receives training in the specifics of working with horses and riders in a therapeutic context, though horse experience is a welcome asset as well. The Bridle Paths facility includes both indoor and outdoor arenas and a round pen, as well as a climate-controlled viewing area. Thrift Store Volunteer - Many volunteers needed, please come and help! Help is always needed sorting clothes and other donated items at the thrift stores. Please call 703-444-5956 to volunteer at the Sterling location, or call 703-724-1555, ext. 110 to volunteer at Hope's Treasures in Ashburn, and call 703-777-5536 to volunteer at the Leesburg location.
Item Collections- Throughout the year the club will be collecting items for various drives. The size, condition, and number of hours awarded will vary depending on the object. Check the remind to be aware of the collected item for the month.
Loudoun County Animal Shelter- The Loudoun county animal shelter is looking for dedicated volunteers with a love for animals. There will be information sessions held on January 27, February 27, and March 24 at the Rust Library for interested volunteers. Volunteer requirements include:
- Must be at least 16 years old (certain roles require volunteers to be 18 or 21 years old).
- Must be able to volunteer for at least 8 hours per month for at least 6 months.
- Must be able to commit to a weekly 2 hour shift.
- Must be able to volunteer during LCAS operating hours.
- Must be able to attend one of the quarterly orientations and subsequent training.

Loudoun County Parks, Recreation, and Community Services-
PCRS is a great place to volunteer for events in our community. To become a volunteer you need to fill out the PCRS volunteer application form found (https://interwapp14.loudoun.gov/esurvey/survey.aspx?id=1665).
Dulles Airport Information Desk Volunteers & Mobile Guides-The Dulles airport is looking for volunteers to assist passengers throughout the airport by providing information about airlines, airport services, area destinations, access to social services, and other information. NOVA Great Strides '20-
Volunteer on May 16th at Village at Leesburg. There will be many volunteer positions available including set-up, clean-up, registration, food, greeters, and more.
- All volunteers must be able to lift a minimum of 30 lbs
- Be able to load/unload a truck
- Stand for a minimum of two hours at a time
- Volunteers need to be 18+ or under 18 with a parent/guardian present.
